Objective: Given a group of 7 kids and a flip camera, TSW use one number bonds for the number seven to write a script that demonstrates an addition and subtraction story for that bond (i.e. 5 and 2).
Set:
Create a number bracelet for 7. Review all number bonds.
Purpose:
Understanding all the different ways to make the number 7
Instructional Input:
Fishbowl group to model the complete process for a group of 3.
1. Develop a Story
2. Write the Story using script format
3. Determine parts in the script
4. Determine props
5. Practice acting it out
6. Film
Put students in groups of 7 and assign each group a bond.
Groups complete the above mentioned process.
Once all groups have finished filming, review films with each group
Demonstrate how to post video to class wiki or blog, all groups post videos to wiki or blog.
Post video link to twitter and utilize #comments4kids to give students feedback
Evaluation:
Students will receive a writing grade for the script and a math grade for content.
Use rubric to evaluate each group.
